ORANGE FRENCH TOAST
There isn't one sort of French toast i do not like, but this version - a sort of egg and jam toast - is that the perfect mixture of morning and weekend treats.
INGREDIENT
2 large eggs
grated orange rind
60 milliliters of milk
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 large slices of thick light bread
Orange juice
75 grams of smooth marmalade like Tiptree
50 grams of sugar
1 tablespoon butter
INSTRUCTIONS
1.Beat eggs, orange peel , milk, and ground cinnamon during a wide, shallow dish.
2.Soak the bread slices during this mixture for two minutes on all sides .
3.When the egg patties are soaking, bring the fruit juice , jam, and sugar to a boil during a saucepan, then reduce the warmth to low and simmer for 3-4 minutes. If necessary, let this syrup sit while you toast the bread.
4.Heat the butter during a heavy skillet and cook egg patties for about 2 minutes per side over medium heat until golden brown.
5.Serve the French toast with a touch yellow syrup poured on each wedge and a touch syrup on the side.
