 SPICY HONEY SESAME TOFU



Crispy tofu cubes with a touch of warmth and much of sweet honey! If you think that you recognize it's bland, wait until you are trying this recipe - it'd just become your and your family's new favorite! many thanks


INGREDIENT

4 tablespoons of oil

3 tablespoons cornstarch

1 block knows medium or hard size

2 tablespoons of onion, finely chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Spicy sesame and honey sauce:

2 ½ tablespoons soy

2 tablespoons and a half

1 tablespoon of water

1 teaspoon of chili paste like oelek chili

2 garlic cloves, chopped

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1/2 tablespoon sesame seeds


INSTRUCTIONS

1.In a bowl, beat all the ingredients for the spicy sesame honey sauce and put aside .

2.Drain the tofu from the packaging and place on a plate. Let stand 15-20 to get rid of excess water. you'll also wrap the tofu during a towel or dish towel to get rid of excess water. Repeat 3-4 times until the tofu is drier.

3.In a large skillet over high heat, add 3 tablespoons of oil . When the oil is hot, almost steaming, add the diced tofu. be careful for oil stains! Fry all sides for 2-3 minutes without touching or mixing an excessive amount of , until they're golden brown.

4.Transfer the tofu cubes to a plate lined with paper towels.

5.In the same skillet, reduce the warmth to medium and add the remaining tablespoons of oil . Add the onions and saute for 1 minute or until the onions are clear and tender.

6.Return the diced tofu to the skillet and pour the sauce over them. Stir to hide the tofu cubes and cook for two minutes.

7.Turn off the warmth , transfer to a shallow bowl and season with salt and pepper if necessary. Serve with vegetables and rice.
