The Best Steak Marinade







This steak marinade is the perfect marinade for any steak you plan to grill. It gives the meat a classic steak flavor that perfectly complements the richness of beef.

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons honey, (30ml)
  • 1/3 cup olive oil, (80ml)
  • 2 teaspoons chopped thyme
  • 1/4 cup minced red onion, (40g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions, (10g)
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce, (60ml)
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce , (120ml)
  • 2 teaspoons chopped rosemary
  • 2 steaks, (ribeye, New York strip, porterhouse, T-bone, skirt, sirloin, flank, flat iron)

Instructions

First, In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, red onion, honey, green onions, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper.

Then, In a small bowl, set aside 1/4 cup of the steak marinade and red wine vinegar.

Add the steak in a baking dish or in a large, resealable plastic bag.

Pour the marinade over, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Tap the excess air if you are using a ziplock bag.

Return steak and marinate 30 minutes more in the refrigerator.

Remove the steak from the marinade and dry it with a paper towel to remove excess moisture from the surface.

Discard marinade.

Cook the steaks using the desired cooking method, such as a frying pan, frying pan or grill.

Transfer the steak to a cutting board and cover with foil for 10 minutes before slicing.

Pour the reserved marinade on the steak or serve separately.
