Red Velvet Brownies

Red Velvet Brownies

Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies - Rich, decadent brownies and red velvets garnished with swirls of tangy cream cheese !! PERFECT for Valentine's Day, Christmas season or when you want red velvet! EASIER than you think !!

Ingredients

Red Velvet Brownies

  • 4 Medium Eggs
  • 275 g Caster Sugar
  • 125 g Plain Flour
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Red Food Colouring
  • 150 g Unsalted Butter
  • 30 g Cocoa Powder

Cheesecake Swirl

  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 75 g Caster Sugar
  • 250 g Full-Fat Cream Cheese
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

First, preheat your oven to 180C / 160C Fan and line a 9x9 "square box with parchment paper!

Then, beat together your butter and sugar until they are combined!

Add the vanilla and red food coloring - I find it easier to mix these two together to make a thinner dough, then mix in the butter / sugar!

Add the eggs one by one, beating each time. Add cocoa powder and flour and beat again.

Finally, add the white wine vinegar - and mix. You want to mix this mixture as little as possible!

In another bowl, add your cream cheese, sugar and vanilla and beat until smooth. Add the egg yolk and mix again!

Pour 90% of your brownie mixture into the tin - tablespoon on the cream cheese mixture, then spoonful on the last small piece of brownie mixture

Agitate the mixture together - then bake for 28 to 35 minutes. Mine was for 30!

Leave to cool in the box for about 20 to 30 minutes, then cool completely on a rack!

Happy Cooking Time.
