HONEY GARLIC SHRIMP AND BROCCOLI

HONEY GARLIC SHRIMP AND BROCCOLI

These garlic honey shrimp with tender broccoli make it a super easy dinner that is bursting with flavor with simple, common ingredients.

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups chopped broccoli
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • salt pepper
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled, deveined and tails removed if desired

INSTRUCTIONS

First, in a small bowl, add honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, red pepper and mix until well blended.

Then, place the peeled and deveined shrimp in a bowl and add 1/3 of the sauce. Mix and marinate for 30 minutes.

Add the cornstarch to the reserved marinade and set aside.

Heat a frying pan (I use cast iron) or a wok over high heat, add the olive oil and broccoli, salt and pepper and cook for 5-6 minutes until they are tender.
Remove from the mold and set aside.

Add the butter to the pan and add the shrimp and marinade. Cook until the shrimp turn pink about 2 minutes on each side.

Add the reserved sauce and simmer. Add the broccoli and mix until everything is hot.

Serve with white rice or pasta. Happy Cooking Time.
