EASY HOMEMADE CARAMEL CORN

EASY HOMEMADE CARAMEL CORN

Sweet and crunchy, this caramel corn is easy to prepare and tastes better than that of the county fair.

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 10 Cups of Popped Popcorn
  • 1 Cup Light Brown Sugar
  • Salt
  • 1 Cup Butter (Sweet Cream Salted)

INSTRUCTIONS

First, make popcorn.

Then, salt the popcorn and set aside.

Melt 1 cup butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

Add 1 cup of brown sugar and stir until well combined.

Stirring continuously, bring the butter and sugar mixture to a boil over medium heat.

When it reaches boiling, cook for 5 minutes without stirring over medium heat.

Add the 2 tsp. vanilla at the 4 minute mark and stir to mix.

Continue to boil for another minute, then add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.

Drizzle the caramel mixture over the popcorn. Use a spoon to gently fold the popcorn with the mixture until the beans are all covered.

Pour the popcorn on a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil or a silpat coating.

Let the popcorn cool. Happy Cooking Time.
