Cinnamon Cinnabon Cake






All the best parts of a giant cinnamon roll and a cake come together to make a cinnamon and cinnamon cake. Oozing with vanilla frosting, this cinnamon cake is the pinnacle of breakfast decadence.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1½ cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 T butter melted
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 3 cups flour
  • ⅔ cups nuts optional
  • 2 sticks 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Glaze:
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4-5 T milk

Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Using an electric mixer or a stand mixer, mix the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, milk, eggs and vanilla. 
Once this is combined, you slowly stir in 4 cups of melted butter. Pour the batter into a greased 9 × 13-inch baking pan.

Then, in a medium bowl, mix the softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts if using them. Place better on the cake in your 9 × 13 inch pan. Use a knife to smear and swirl on the cake.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out almost clean from the center.

Make the icing by adding the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla in a medium bowl. Whisk until smooth and drizzle with a hot cake. Serve warm or at room temperature. Happy Cooking Time.
