CHOCOLATE CHIA SEED PUDDING
Want
chocolate? This classic chocolate pudding with chia seeds is a healthy way to
satisfy your craving for chocolate!
Ingredients
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3-5 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 cup cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups Almond Breeze Almondmilk Original Unsweetened (or light coconut milk for creamier texture!)
Instructions
First, In a
small bowl, add the cocoa powder (sift first to reduce lumps), maple syrup,
ground cinnamon, salt and vanilla, then whisk. Then add a little dairy-free
milk at a time and whisk until you get a dough. Then add the rest of the
dairy-free milk and beat until smooth.
Then, Add
the chia seeds and whip once more to mix well. Then cover and refrigerate
overnight, or at least 3-5 hours (until you get a pudding consistency). It may
also be helpful to give the mixture an extra whip / mix once it has been in the
refrigerator for 30 to 45 minutes.
The leftovers
stay in the fridge for 4 to 5 days, but they are better when they are fresh.
Serve chilled with the desired toppings, such as fruit, muesli or coconut
whipped cream. Happy Cooking Time.
