Lebanese Labneh


 Lebanese Labneh



Lebanese labneh sometimes spelled labne may be a soft, soft cheese made up of yogurt. it's a small lemon flavor and is served during a bowl with vegetable oil or made into balls, rolled with spices like zaatar, dried mint or sumac and placed during a container with vegetable oil .


INGREDIENT

16 cups of plain yogurt

1 teaspoon salt or to taste

1 tablespoon fresh juice

1/4 cup vegetable oil

garnish with dried mint, sumac or za'atar leaves


INSTRUCTIONS

1.Cover an outsized colander with cheesecloth. Stir salt and juice into the yogurt and pour the yogurt into the gauze. Place the strainer during a sink or bowl to catch any dripping liquid. Let it drain for twenty-four hours or just in case of remodeling into a ball, let it drain for 48 hours

2.After draining for twenty-four hours, transfer the resulting cheese to a bowl. Stir within the vegetable oil . or if after 48 hours make the ball roll with a spice like dry mint, zaatar or sumac, place it during a container and pour within the vegetable oil . Store during a closed container within the refrigerator.
