SPICY TAHINI TOFU STIR FRY

 SPICY TAHINI TOFU STIR FRY

This fry tofu recipe is ideal for a fast vegetarian or vegan meal for 2 . Tofu cubes sautéed in vegetable oil for a golden crunch, then dipped during a soft tahini-sriracha sauce for a spicy flavor. Taste it with vermicelli!

INGREDIENT

1 packet of additional hard tofu, drain, squeeze a minimum of quarter-hour , dig 1 inch cubes

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1/4 cup tahini

2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce

1 tablespoon soy

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

2 garlic cloves, chopped

1/2 tablespoon grated ginger

3 to 4 tablespoons of water

Cooked vermicelli

Chopped scallion

Toasted sesame seeds + poppy seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Heat vegetable oil during a skillet over medium heat. Cook the tofu on a good layer for about 10 minutes, turning once or twice, until the tofu is golden and crispy on all sides.

2. Meanwhile, shake tahini, sriracha, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic and grated ginger during a small bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of water to thin the sauce.

3. After the tofu cubes are golden, reduce the warmth to low and pour the tahini sauce over the tofu, stirring gently to coat the tofu. Cook until the sauce is hot and begins to bubble, about 1 minute. Don't overcook it or the sauce are going to be too thick.

4. Divide into plates and serve with vermicelli and spinach leaf salad (or chopped bok-choi, grated kale, as desired) and sprinkle with sesame seeds and poppy seeds and chopped green onions. Enjoy!
