 HALLOUMI FRIES



The crispy halloumi fries are the simplest appetizer or snack. These fries are super easy to form - all you would like is 5 ingredients and 15 minutes! No need for a deep fryer - just fry these halloumi potatoes within the pan reception for an irresistible treat


INGREDIENTS

Halloumi Cheese 250 g / 8.8 oz

3 tablespoons of all purpose flour

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon cumin

Olive oil, for frying

SELECTION

Paprika sauce, for serving


INSTRUCTIONS

1.Cut your halloumi blocks into equal size french-fried potatoes - mine is about 1.5 cm / ½ inch thick and that i have 10 fingers.

2.Combine the flour, paprika, and cumin on a plate, then roll the french-fried potatoes within the batter until evenly coated. Get obviate the surplus .

3.Heat enough oil to hide rock bottom of the pan over medium heat, then add half the french-fried potatoes to the skillet and fry for a couple of minutes on all sides until golden and crispy. Repeat this process with the remaining fries.

4.Serve immediately as is or with a sweet Poivrade .


NOTE

Make sure the oil is hot before cooking the halloumi fries. you simply need enough oil to hide rock bottom of the pan.

Halloumi are often found within the cheese section of most major supermarkets. If you've got trouble finding them, you'll also try Mediterranean grocery stores.

One block are going to be perfect for two people as a companion or 4 people as an alcoholic drink. be happy to double or double the recipe for more people.

Just like other french-fried potatoes , halloumi fries aren't stored or heated properly, so enjoy them hot and fresh!

Feel free to experiment with other spice mixes. Oregano or mint would be great!
