SLOW COOKER STICKY ASIAN RIBS

SLOW COOKER STICKY ASIAN RIBS

Slow Cooker Sticky Asian Ribs with Sticky Sauce are the best tender-to-the-bone fallout you'll ever make! Slowly cooked to perfection in a sweet and tangy Asian sauce. They are brushed on just before serving in a good sticky finger-licking sauce!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 5 pounds bone-in prime rib, cut crosswise into 2-inch pieces
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional

DIRECTIONS:

First, in a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil and red pepper flakes, if using.

Then, place short ribs in a 6 quart slow cooker. Stir in soy sauce mixture until well combined.

Cover and cook over low heat for 7 to 8 hours or over high heat for 3 to 4 hours. *

In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and 1/4 cup of water. Stir mixture into slow cooker. Cover and cook over high heat for an additional 30 minutes or until the sauce thickens.

Serve immediately, garnished with parsley and sesame seeds, if desired. Happy Cooking Time.

NOTES:

* To test for doneness, pull on a bone because it should slide freely.
