STICKY GARLIC CHICKEN BITES
Sticky Garlic Chicken Bites - Chicken croquettes cooked in a panko crust with a sweet and savory garlic sauce with honey. So soft and good sticky!
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Panko
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch chunks
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
FOR THE SAUCE
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
DIRECTIONS:
First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly oil a 9 × 13 baking dish or coat with a non-stick spray.
Then, season the chicken with salt and pepper, to taste. Work in batches, dip the chicken in the eggs, then fluff it in Panko, pressing to coat.
Add the chicken to the prepared baking dish. Place in the oven and bake until golden and crisp, about 15-20 minutes.
In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the soy sauce, honey, garlic, hoisin sauce, ginger and Sriracha until they thicken slightly, about 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in chicken and mix gently to combine.
Serve immediately, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Happy Cooking Time.
