BACON RANCH PASTA SALAD
The tender
pasta is coated with a creamy ranch dressing, bacon and many other treats in
this bacon ranch pasta salad. This pasta salad is perfect for summer barbecues
and is always a hit!
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pepper
- 5 slices bacon,, cooked crisp and chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 envelope dry ranch salad dressing mix
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes,, sliced in half
- 1 12 oz. package uncooked tri-color pasta
- 1 small cucumber,, chopped into 1/4 moon slices
Instructions
First, cook
the pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente, taking care not to
overcook. Drain well.
Then, in a
large bowl, combine mayonnaise, ranch dressing mixture, garlic powder and
garlic pepper. Stir in milk until the mixture is nice and smooth.
Carefully
incorporate the cooked pasta into the dressing mixture and toss to coat.
Refrigerate
the pasta salad for at least 1 to 2 hours. When ready to serve, add the chopped
bacon, vegetables and cheese and stir to coat. You can also add a touch of milk
to smooth the pasta salad as needed. Happy Cooking Time.
