LASAGNA STUFFED CHICKEN 






This lasagna-stuffed chicken recipe will amaze the whole family!

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 3 teaspoons Italian seasoning divided
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella divided
  • Additional Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

First, place the butterfly chicken breasts and place them in a lightly greased baking dish.

Then, in a small mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, 2 teaspoons 
Italian seasoning, garlic, salt and 1 cup mozzarella cheese.

Pour about 1/4 cup of sauce over half of each chicken breast. Spread the ricotta mixture over the sauce and fold the chicken breasts to close.

Pour the rest of the marinara sauce over the chicken. Garnish with the rest of the mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with the rest of the Italian seasoning and season with salt and pepper.

Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
