FRENCH DIP SLIDERS

FRENCH DIP SLIDERS

We took a classic French dip sandwich in a delicious slider to feed a crowd or your family. It's the perfect meal for busy nights.

Ingredients
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 onion, halved and sliced
  • 1 package Au Jus Gravy Mix
  • 1 package (12 rolls) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 pound sliced roast beef, found in the sandwich meats aisle

Instructions

First, in a medium skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and cook the onions until lightly browned and soft. Put aside.

Then, preheat the oven to 350 ° F and grease a 9 x 13 baking dish with a non-stick cooking spray.

Keeping the Hawaiian sweet rolls tied, pass a serrated knife through the bread, dividing the upper and lower halves.

Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish and spread evenly over the cheese.

Sprinkle with roast beef, followed by onions.

Top with the top half of the rolls.

In a small bowl, melt the remaining 8 tablespoons of butter in the microwave (about 15 seconds). Stir in the Au Jus juice mixture,
Worcestershire sauce, sesame seeds, garlic powder and onion powder.

Pour the sauce over the buns and bake until the cheese has melted, about 15 to 20 minutes. Happy Cooking Time.
