Cookie Dough Truffles
The tasty filling in the center of these delicious candies tastes like a real chocolate chip cookie dough ... without worrying about raw eggs. This is what makes them so attractive.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- vegetable oil if needed
- 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 1 cup flour Used pasteurized flour, if you're nervous about raw flour
Instructions
First, in a large bowl, combine the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar.
Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
Stir in flour and salt until a dough forms.
Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
Using a mini ice cream scoop, remove the dough and roll it into a ball.
Place cookie dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Freeze for about 30 minutes or until partially frozen.
Melt the milk chocolate chips according to the packaging, adding a little vegetable oil if necessary.
Dip the cookie dough balls in the melted chocolate and let the excess drip off. (see note)
Return to pan and place in refrigerator until chocolate has firmed up.
