Easy Apple Dumplings

Easy Apple Dumplings

These Easy Country apple balls are soft and gooey at the bottom, but crispy on top, and they taste like apple pie. So easy and ridiculously good. In addition, the house smells incredible during cooking!

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tbsp flour
  • 1 (8 oz) tube crescent rolls
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (more, to taste)
  • 3/4 cup lemon lime soda (Sprite or Mountain Dew)
  • 1 green apple (Granny Smith or Golden Delicious)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter, melted

Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 350F degrees.

Then, peel and seed the apples.

Cut the apple into 8 slices.

Unroll the tube of crescent rolls and separate into 8 pieces.

Sprinkle a little cinnamon on each roll.

Add a slice of apple.

Roll it up in a nice little package.

Continue with the next 7 rolls in the same way.

Spray an 8-inch square pan with a non-stick spray.

Place the 8 meatballs in a baking dish.

Mix the melted butter with the sugar, vanilla and flour.

Pour the butter mixture over the crescent rolls.

Now take some soda and pour it over the edges of the crescent rolls.

Sprinkle the tops with a little more cinnamon.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 to 40 minutes.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Happy Cooking Time.
