  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped
  • ½ cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted

INSTRUCTIONS

First, Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Then, Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the pasta for one minute less than the instructions on the package. Drain.

While cooking macaroni, melt 3 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan and add the flour. Cook by whisking constantly on low heat for 1 minute.

Continue to whisk and slowly pour the milk and cream. Cook another 2 minutes until thick and smooth.

Remove from heat and stir in the grated Prairie Sunset, salt and pepper.  Continue stirring until smooth and creamy.

Add the macaroni cooked in the cheese sauce and stir to coat.

Pour the melted butter into the bottom of a 2-liter baking dish. Pour half of the macaroni and cheese on top.

Add a layer of grated Havarti and spread the sour cream over the top. Cover with a layer of grated butter.

Pour the remaining macaroni and cheese on top.

Mix Panko, melted butter, garlic salt and parsley to obtain a filling of bread crumbs. Sprinkle macaroni with cheese.

Bake for 25 minutes or until sauce is bubbling and top is golden.

Happy Cooking Time.
