CROCK POT MILLION DOLLAR PASTA
Crockpot
Million Dollar Pasta, traditional pasta baked, but made entirely in slow
cooker, even noodles.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 (24 oz) jar water
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 (24 oz) jars spaghetti sauce divided use
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese softened
- 1 (16 oz) box cavatappi pasta
Instructions
First, Brown
and crumble ground beef (season with salt and pepper.) Drain excess fat and set
aside.
Then, In a
medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, ricotta cheese, minced
garlic and parsley.
In the
bottom of a 6-quart (or more) slow cooker, add a half-pot of spaghetti sauce.
Arrange
evenly half of the cavatappi pasta box over the sauce.
Pour the
rest of the pot of spaghetti sauce over the noodles.
Pour on half
a pot of water.
Then coat
half of the cooked ground beef mixture on top.
Spread the
whole cream cheese mixture as evenly as possible over the layer of beef. Not
moving.
Evenly coat
the rest of the cavatappi pasta on the cream cheese layer.
Garnish with
the rest of the spaghetti sauce
Pour another
half-pot of water over the spaghetti sauce.
Finally,
coat the rest of the cooked ground beef on top.
Cover and
cook on low heat for about 3-4 hours.
Stir in the
mixture, then spread with 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese.
Cover for an
additional 15-20 minutes (until cheese is melted)
