Chinese Honey Chicken
Honey
Chicken - Easy Chinese honey chicken with crispy chicken in a sticky and sweet
honey sauce. This recipe is better than Chinese restaurants, guaranteed!
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup honey
- vegetable oil , for frying
- 4 large egg whites
- 3/4 cup cornstarch (or Mochiko Sweet Rice Flour)
- 1 pound chicken breast , cut into 1 inch thin chunks
- 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
First, In a
large bowl, add egg whites and whisk until foamy (1 to 2 minutes) before
whipping in cornstarch and water until smooth, then fold. the chicken.
Then, Heat
three inches of oil over medium-high heat (350 degrees) in large saucepan and
add chicken pieces in 2 batches until golden, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
In a large
bowl, combine mayonnaise, honey and sweetened condensed milk, then mix
just-fried chicken just before serving.
