Basil Pesto Pasta
Pasta with
basil pesto will keep you warm during the colder months and ready in a flash!
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 1/2 cups fresh basil leaves, washed and dried thoroughly
- 2 Tablespoons pine nuts, toasted and cooled
INSTRUCTIONS
First, In a
food processor or blender, combine the basil leaves, parmesan, garlic, roasted
pine nuts, kosher salt and pepper. Pulse the ingredients together until well
blended.
Then, While
the food processor or blender is running, pour the olive oil and continue to
mix, scraping the edges as needed, until the pesto is pureed. Taste and season
with salt and pepper and serve immediately or store in an airtight container in
the refrigerator until ready to serve. Happy Cooking Time.
