CREAMY GARLIC TUSCAN SHRIMP SKILLET
Creamy Tuscan Garlic Shrimp coated in a light and creamy garlic Parmesan sauce filled with sundried tomatoes and spinach! guaranteed to impress! Approved low in carbs and keto!
Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning mix
- 4 cloves of garlic, pressed
- ½ tablespoon of lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons of butter or ghee
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne powder
- 1 teaspoon of gluten-free flour
- ¼ cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
- Sea salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 ½ lb peeled and deveined shrimp
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes, or to taste
- A handful of freshly chopped, plucked and chopped basil leaves
Instructions
First, melt butter in a large skillet or nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
Then, meanwhile, in a bowl, whisk together the flour and heavy cream until well combined, then pour into the saucepan.
Stir in the lemon zest, Italian seasoning, pepper flakes, cayenne powder and sun-dried tomatoes. Lower the heat and simmer for about 3-4 minutes, or until the sauce begins to thicken.
Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and curly. About 4 to 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and stir in the basil. Season with salt and pepper if necessary. Happy Cooking Time.
