CINNAMON CRUFFINS

CINNAMON CRUFFINS

This cruffin recipe will give you a light and flaky dough, perfect for breakfast or brunch. Roll them in sugar, or fill them and flavor them as you like!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 2 sheets of frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened and divided
  • 1 tablespoon of milk

Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 375 degrees and spray a muffin pan with cooking spray

Then, unfold the two sheets of thawed puff pastry into a flattened sheet and mix the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.

Brush the puff pastry with the softened butter.

Roll the puff pastry firmly in the opposite direction of the seams (the longest) and then cut it in half lengthwise.

Slice each long half in half again to make 4 long strips.

Roll the strip into a muffin shape in your muffin well.

Repeat with the rest of the puff pastry.

Mix the egg and the milk, then brush the muffins with the egg.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.

Combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.

Gently remove from the pan and roll in the cinnamon sugar.

Happy Cooking Time.
