Seafood Pasta


 Seafood Pasta



This seafood paste may be a mixture of prawns, clams, mussels and scallops, all mixed with spaghetti during a homemade spaghetti sauce . Simple but elegant food, perfect for entertaining!


INGREDIENTS

3 tablespoons of olives

1/2 cup onions

2 teaspoons of garlic

1/4 teaspoon ground red chili flakes

28 ounce can of whole San Marzano tomatoes

salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons butter

12 ounces of spaghetti or other long pasta

1/2 pound of shrimp

1/2 pound of clams

1/2 pound of clams

1/2 pound of clams

2 tablespoons of parsley


INSTRUCTIONS

1.Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil during a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and cook, 4 to five minutes or until soft. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute.

2.Add within the red pepper flakes (optional), then add the mashed tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3.Bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken. Stir within the butter, then remove the sauce from the warmth .

4.When the sauce involves a boil, cook the spaghetti during a large saucepan of salted water consistent with package directions.

5.Drain the pasta, reserving 3/4 cup of the cooking liquid for the pasta.

6.Heat remaining tablespoons of vegetable oil during a large skillet over high heat. Season the clams with salt and pepper, then increase the pan.

7.Cook the clams, 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until they're golden brown and opaque.

8.Remove the clams from the pan. Season the prawns with salt and pepper and increase the pan. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until the mixture is pink and opaque.

9.Remove the prawns from the pan. Put the clams and mussels within the pan, along side the cooking water provided. Burn up.

10.Cover and cook 4 to six minutes or until the clams and mussels are open. Discard any unopened shells.

11.Return the shrimp and scallops to the skillet with the spaghetti sauce and spaghetti. Stir to coat everything within the sauce.

12.Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
