Chicken Parmesan Stromboli
This family-style chicken parmesan stromboli is a simple choice for casual dining and snacks. Serve with a spicy pizza sauce for dipping.
INGREDIENTS
1 13.8-ounce Pillsbury refrigerated classic pizza crust
3/4 cup thick, classic pizza sauce, divided further to serve
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese or Italian cheese mixture divided
2 cups coarsely chopped grilled chicken
1/2 teaspoon flavorer plus extra for the highest
1/2 teaspoon dry Italian seasoning plus extra for the highest
1/2 teaspoon optional crushed red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons grated parmesan, divided
1 tablespoon melted butter
INSTRUCTIONS
1.Preheat oven to 375 ° F. Spray a large-rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray or line with parchment paper. Set aside.
2.On a non-stick surface, stretch the pizza dough into a rectangle about 16 x 12 inches. Brush with 1/2 cup pizza sauce, leaving a 1/2 inch border round the edges.
3.Sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella cheese. Arrange the chicken on top of the cheese.
4.Season the chicken with flavorer , Italian seasonings, and flakes of red chili, if used. Sprinkle with 2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese.
5.Spoon the remaining 1/4 cup of sauce over the chicken, then sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
6.Start rolling from the widest edge, shaping as you go. the top of the seam faces down.
7.Brush the highest and sides of the dough with melted butter. Season lightly with flavorer and Italian seasoning (about the dimensions of an eye fixed ball) Finish with 1 tbsp. 1 tablespoon remaining parmesan.
8.Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let it rest for five minutes on the skillet.
9.Cut into 8 2 inch pieces. Serve with additional pizza sauce for dipping
