Texas Hash
Casserole daging sapi, sayur, dan nasi ini mudah dibuat dan menjadi favorit keluarga.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 tbsp minced fresh garlic
- ½ teaspoon of dry mustard
- 1 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 teaspoons of chili powder
- 1 cup diced green bell pepper
- 1 pound of ground beef, 80/20
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons of kosher salt
- ½ cup uncooked long grain white rice
- 1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes with juice
- 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese, optional and not shown in our photo
INSTRUCTIONS
First, in a well-covered pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Then, add the onion, peppers, garlic, ground beef, dry mustard, chili powder, salt and pepper. Sauté until ground beef is no longer pink, breaking up beef as it cooks.
Add the rice and cook for two minutes, letting the rice absorb the liquid.
Add the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.
Add the canned tomatoes with the juice, water and Worcestershire sauce. Stir, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, covered.
After 20 minutes, remove the lid and drain the mixture then serve. If the mixture is too wet, cook for a few more minutes without a lid.
If you are using cheese, sprinkle it during the last few minutes of cooking with the lid on. Happy Cooking Time.
