Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 6 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Marinara sauce, for dipping
  • 1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 cups Italian breadcrumbs or Panko breadcrumbs
  • Canola oil, for frying
  • chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

First, in a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, spinach, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt and pepper, stirring until well combined.

Then, transfer mixture to a square foil-lined baking dish and spray with cooking spray.

Distribute the mixture evenly in a thick layer and freeze for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, whisk the eggs and milk together.

Place the flour, egg mixture and breadcrumbs in three separate bowls.

Once the dip is completely frozen, remove the dip block from the foil and cut it into 1/2-inch strips, then cut the strips in half into sticks. Keep them frozen while you bread them.

Dip the spinach dipped cheese sticks in the flour, then the eggs, then the breadcrumbs, then again in the eggs and finally again in the breadcrumbs.

Reserve the breaded sticks on a plate.

Heat the oil in a skillet and cook the sticks for about 30 seconds to a minute per side, or until golden brown and crisp on the outside, but making sure the dip has melted through. inside.

Drain on paper towels.

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with a marinara sauce for dipping. Happy Cooking Time.
