AMAZING PEPPER STEAK STIR FRY
Ultra flavorful pepper steak stir-fry for garlic lovers! It's a great stir-fry for making weekly meals and storing in containers so you can just grab it and go!
Ingredients
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons of sesame oil
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 red pepper cut into cubes or 1-inch strips
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 1 green pepper, cut into cubes or 1-inch strips
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil, divided
- 8 ounces 8-ounce flank steak, sliced into strips against the grain
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
Instructions
First, in a medium skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add 1 tbsp of olive oil. Add the peppers and cook, 1 to 2 minutes, until tender. Remove and set aside on a plate.
Then, lower the heat to high and add the flank steak and cook on each side to sear the beef and reduce the heat to medium-high and continue to cook until no longer pink and brown on each side.
In a small bowl, whisk the garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and cornstarch.
Return the peppers to the pan and add the sauce. Simmer, 1 to 2 minutes, until the sauce begins to thicken. Serve over rice.
