Pepperoni Bread Ever

Pepperoni Bread Ever

This recipe is so tasty and wonderful! Cheese and bread perfection! It's a fantastic side dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 6 oz hard pepperoni
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 lb frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 375 ° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Then, add the pepperoni to a dish and mix until you get small pieces.

Spread the flour out on a dry surface and roll out the dough into a 10 x 15 inch rectangle. Brush the dough with the beaten egg. Distribute the pepperoni, mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the dough.

Roll the dough like a jelly roll and pinch the seam to seal it. Place bread, seam side down, on prepared baking sheet.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter for about 30 seconds and stir in the Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Brush the bread with the melted butter.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and let stand 3 to 5 minutes before serving. Happy Cooking Time.

Notes

Use a log of pepperoni if you can find any, or thick cut pepperoni to get big chunks when you toss it in the food processor.

Use freshly grated Parmesan. Never buy pre-grated Parmesan because it contains wood pulp. Parmesan blocks are also cheaper.
