Vanilla Mug Cake
An easy to prepare vanilla cake in the microwave (no eggs) which is the quickest way to prepare a dessert for one or two. Enjoy it in nature or add mix-in!
Ingredients
Vanilla Mug Cake
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 large egg yolk do not add in the egg white
- 1 tablespoon sprinkles optional
Frosting (optional)
- 1 teaspoon milk
- 2-3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
Vanilla cake
First, add the butter to your cup and microwave until it is melted (about 30 seconds).
Then, stir in milk, vanilla extract, egg yolk and sugar with a fork.
Add the flour and baking powder. Stir in the nuggets.
Microwave for 60-90 seconds at medium power. The top should look set when it's done.
Let cool at least 1 minute before tasting.
Vanilla frosting
Beat the butter with an electric mixer or whisk with a fork until smooth.
Beat / whisk powdered sugar 1 tablespoon at a time until desired sweetness is achieved. Then beat / whisk the milk.
Spread / pipe on top of the cake.
