FLUFFY GARLIC BUTTER BREADSTICKS
These homemade garlic butter breadsticks are incredibly sweet, fluffy and buttered. They are so simple to prepare and are a great addition to any meal!
INGREDIENTS:
For the dough:
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1 cup + 2 Tablespoons warm water
- 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 3/4 teaspoons kosher salt
For brushing:
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
DIRECTIONS:
First, in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the dough hook, mix all the dough ingredients except the flour. At low speed, gradually Then, add the flour. Increase the speed to medium and knead the dough for 7 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
Remove the dough from a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a dry towel. Leave to rise in a warm place until its size doubles, about 1 1/2 hours.
Divide the dough into 12 portions. Roll each piece of dough into a 7-inch log. Place the logs of dough on a non-stick baking mat or baking sheets lined with parchment paper, cover and let rise until its size doubles, about 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Bake for about 12 minutes or until golden. Meanwhile, combine the butter, salt and garlic powder in a small bowl. Remove the breadsticks from the oven and brush immediately with the butter mixture. Serve hot.
