Loaded Crack Potatoes
The best potatoes you will ever make, guaranteed! This recipe feeds a lot of people. I brought it to a potluck and the pan came home licked, literally! People came back for seconds and a third and disappointed when everything was gone.
Ingredients
- 24 ounces sour cream
- 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- 8 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 package (1.0 ounce) ranch dip/dressing mix
- 1 package (28 ounces) frozen shredded hash browns
Instructions
First, in a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until golden and crisp. With a slotted spoon, remove from the pan and drain on a tissue.
Then, in a bowl, add the sour cream and mix the ranch sauce.
Add fries, 2 cups of cheese, crumbs and green onions. You can leave 1 tablespoon of bacon and green onions to decorate the potatoes after cooking. Move it to the pan.
Bake, open, in a 400 F oven for about 40 to 50 minutes or until cooked through.
Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese on top and cook again for 5-10 minutes or melt the cheese.
Remove from heat and garnish with beef breadcrumbs and green onions, if desired. Happy Cooking Time.
