Honey Bun Cake








Honey Bun Cake is a super soft cake swirled with cinnamon and sugar and topped with vanilla frosting. It tastes like a cinnamon roll, but in the form of a cake! This is a proven recipe!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 (15.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

First, preheat the oven to 325 degrees and spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Then, in a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil and sour cream until smooth.

Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan and smooth.

Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Sprinkle evenly over the cake batter.

Cover with the rest of the cake batter, spreading it evenly. Swirl a knife through the cake batter.

Cook for 30 to 35 minutes.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Pour over the hot cake. Let the cake cool 20 minutes before cutting it. Happy Cooking Time.
