Buttermilk Fried Chicken Tenders
One of my most popular recipes, these tender chicken are marinated in seasoned buttermilk and sautéed to crisp and crisp perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 4 chicken breasts boneless skinless
- 3/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- canola oil for frying
Instructions
First, cut the chicken breasts into four tender each and soak them in a bowl with the buttermilk and hot sauce for 30 minutes.
Then, add the eggs in a bowl and the flour and spices in a second bowl.
Dip each piece of chicken from the bowl of buttermilk into the flour mixture.
Dip it in the eggs and then put it back in the flour mixture.
Gently shake off the excess flour and place the chicken on a baking sheet.
Repeat with all the pieces.
Heat the oil (three inches deep) in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat to 350 degrees.
Fry the chicken in small batches for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown. Happy Cooking Time.
