Baked Chicken Thighs
A simple mixture of spices gives tons of flavor to the crispy skin and the moist, juicy thigh meat. It's in the oven in minutes for a delicious main dish.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 chicken thighs bone-in, skin-on
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
INSTRUCTIONS
First, preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9x13 pan or 3-quart baking dish.
Then, cut the chicken thighs from any excess fat or skin. Place the chicken legs directly in the prepared dish, skin side up.
Drizzle the chicken skin with olive oil and rub to coat.
In a small bowl, combine the paprika, basil, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
Sprinkle evenly over chicken thighs.
Roast the chicken in the preheated oven at 450 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove from oven and brush the top of each piece of chicken with the pan sauce. Place under the grill setting for 1 to 2 minutes to finish and add an extra crisp to the skin. Happy Cooking Time.
