Apple Pie Turnovers
Apple's sales made entirely from scratch! This recipe starts with my homemade pie crust, is made with a simple apple filling and topped with a drizzle of vanilla frosting! Better than store bought!
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 8 oz crescent dough
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Granny Smith Apple chopped into small chunks
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cornstarch
Icing
- 1 tbsp milk You may need another tbsp.
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
First, preheat your oven to 375 degrees f.
Then, add apples, butter and spices to your broth and stir for about 3 minutes over medium-high heat.
Add your cornstarch to thicken the filling and mix well. Once it becomes thick and like caramel, remove from heat.
Prepare your baking sheet with your 8 rolls of croissant distributed in triangles.
Add a little garnish to each center of these rolls, then fold and tuck them in.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Let the apple turnovers cool for 15 minutes before icing.

Mix the ingredients together and let the glaze set for 10 minutes. This thickens it so it's not too runny when frosting your apple turnovers.
Use a fork dipped in frosting to mix each dough.
