Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Cake
A good old fashioned peanut butter cake with hot and crazy frosting!
Ingredients
CAKE
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 2 cup Sugar
- 2 cup Flour
- 3/4 cup Peanut Butter
FROSTING
- 1 cup Peanut Butter
- 3 tbsp Milk
- 2 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 cup softened Butter
Instructions
First, preheat the oven to 350.
Then, grease a 9x13 baking dish with butter. Sprinkle with flour to prevent it from sticking.
Whisk together the flour, sugar and baking soda in a large bowl.
Add milk, eggs and vanilla to a bowl.
Beat the mixture at low speed until homogeneous.
Add the water butter and peanut butter to a saucepan.
Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until smooth (about 5 minutes).
Add the peanut butter mixture to the flour mixture.
Stir until the dough is well mixed and pour into the prepared dish.
Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Let cool.
Cream the butter and peanut butter together.
Slowly add the sugar, if it becomes too thick, add a little milk to dilute.
Continue until all the sugar is in and the icing is mixed to the right consistency.
Spread the frosting over the cooled cake.
