- 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
- 1 pound fresh Tuna steaks
Marinade
- 1/4 teaspoon Sugar
- ¼ cup Soy sauce
- ¼ cup chopped Cilantro
- 1 clove Garlic (minced)
- ¼ cup Lime juice
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- ½ Jalapeno pepper (diced)
Instructions
First, combine all the marinade ingredients and whisk with a fork.
Then, place the tuna steaks in a one-gallon zipper bag and add the marinade, reserving 1 tablespoon.

Add the cooking oil to a pan heated over medium-high heat.
When the oil is heated and shimmering, add tuna steaks. Cook 2 to 3 minutes on each side, in order to sear the outside while the inside remains pink.
Remove from the pan and let stand for 5 minutes, place on the tablespoon of the remaining marinade if desired, sprinkle with sesame seeds, then serve. Happy Cooking Time.
