Ingredients
- 2 TBSP olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ yellow onion (diced)
- 3 cloves garlic (crushed)
- ½ cup grated parmesan
- ¾ # spaghetti noodles
- Meatballs (I used about 1½ doz homemade meatballs) **Meatballs were fully cooked
- 24 oz jar marinara sauce (I used San Marzano Sauce)
- 1-2 cups grated cheese (I used half colby-jack, half mozzarella)
Instructions
First, in a large cast iron skillet, brown the onions in olive oil over medium / low heat. Add the garlic and continue to sauté until the onions are tender.
Then, add the cooked meatballs.
Add marinara sauce and Italian seasonings.
Heat over medium / low heat for about 20-30 minutes.
In a large separate saucepan, cook the spaghetti noodles according to the directions on the package (under 2 minutes of cooking).
With a large slotted spoon, remove the meatballs from the sauce and set aside.
Pour the cooked spaghetti (with a large slotted spoon) into the marinara sauce. Add about ½ cup of pasta cooking water. Stir gently until the pasta is completely coated with sauce.
Add the cooked meatballs to the top of the spaghetti.
Garnish with grated cheese and Parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350 * for about 20-30 minutes or until hot and bubbling and the cheese is melted. Happy Cooking Time.
