Parmesan Crusted Tilapia
This
Parmesan Crusted Tilapia is a simple fish recipe that takes 20 minutes to make
and will impress even non-fish lovers!
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 teaspoons dijon mustard
- 6 tilapia fillets defrosted if frozen
- lemon slices for serving
Coating
- 1 cup cornflake crumbs
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon each salt & pepper
- 1 1/2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
- 1/2 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
First, in a
small bowl, combine the eggs, Dijon mustard and water. Mix well and set aside.
In another dish, combine all the coating ingredients.
Then, dip
each tilapia fillet in the egg mixture and then in the breadcrumb mixture. Make
sure to press the crumbs into the fish and make sure it's completely coated.
Once all the
fillets are coated, preheat the butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Place the coated
fish fillets in the pan and cover with a lid. Cook for 3 minutes. Turn the fish
over, cover again and cook for another 3 minutes.
Serve with
fresh lemon slices. Happy Cooking Time.
