INSTANT POT BUTTERED CABBAGE
This
buttered instant cabbage is easy and delicious and can be cooked right in your
instant pressure cooker. It's one of our favorite ways to eat cabbage.
Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 tsp Pepper (or more/less to taste)
- 1 head Green Cabbage, chopped into 1"-2" pieces
- 3/4 cup Low Sodium Chicken Broth (use 1/2 cup for small head of cabbage)
- 1/2 tsp Salt (or more/less to taste)
Instructions
First, add the
broth and butter to the pan.
Then, add
the chopped cabbage.
Close the
cover and place the steam release button in the sealing position.
Press the
pressure / manual cooking knob or knob, then press the +/- knob or knob to
select 5 minutes. High pressure. The pot will take several minutes to arrive
under pressure.
When the
cooking cycle is finished, close the pan and let it sit without moving for 3
minutes (natural release of 3 minutes). Then turn the steam release knob to the
ventilation position to release the remaining steam / pressure.
When the
cover pin drops, open the cover.
Add salt and
pepper. Stir and serve!
