CREAMY PEANUT BUTTER BARS
These Reese
Peanut Butter Bars are ridiculously good! If you love Reese's peanut butter
cups, then you MUST make them! The sweet peanut butter cookie base tastes like
the real deal, and is further enhanced by the top layer of creamy chocolate.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup ritz crackers, crushed (about 1 sleeve of crackers)
- 1 cup peanut butter
INSTRUCTIONS
First, grease
a 9 x 13 inch pan. Put aside.
Then, to
crush the crackers, place them in a zipped bag and use a rolling pin to crush.
Or you can use a food processor.
Combine
crackers, peanut butter, butter and powdered sugar in a medium bowl. Once
combined, press the mixture into the prepared pan.
* For
non-baked bars, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave according to the
instructions on the packaging and then spread them over the bars. Or you can
sprinkle the chocolate chips over the mixture and place them in an oven at 400
degrees for 5 minutes. Once the chocolate chips seem melted, remove from the
oven and spread the chocolate evenly over the bars with a spatula. Let the
chocolate put in the fridge (or in the freezer if you are impatient like me)
then cut into squares. Happy Cooking Time.
