Easy Homemade Chicken Nuggets
My homemade
spicy chicken nuggets happen to be the quickest & tastiest chicken snack
that you can ever make at home without any fuss whatsoever! Crispy chicken
nuggets at its best!
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 cups Panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika or chili powder
- 2 pounds chicken breasts cut into bite-size pieces
Instructions
First, preheat
the oven to 400 degrees
Then, coat a
baking sheet lined with cooking spray or olive oil
Cut the
chicken breasts into bite-size pieces
Add
breadcrumbs to a zippered bowl or freezer bag. Mix sea salt, garlic powder,
pepper and smoked paprika in breadcrumbs
Add the
buttermilk to a bowl and stir in the Dijon mustard
Dip the
chicken in the buttermilk, then dip in the breadcrumb mixture, making sure each
piece is well coated
Place the
chicken on a prepared baking sheet and, once the sheet is filled, lightly spray
with olive oil
Bake 10
minutes on each side, turning once, for a total of 20 minutes, or until the
chicken is golden brown and the internal temperature is 165 degrees depending
on the meat thermometer
