Keto Orange Chicken
Keto chicken
with orange is a must if you live the Keto way of life. If you follow the
macros, they contain protein-rich, moderate and low-carbohydrate lipids. In
addition, it contains excellent nutrients, vitamins and fiber from vegetables.
Ingredients
For chicken:
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup coconut flour
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1-2 tbsp olive oil for frying
- sesame seeds for serving (optional)
- sea salt to taste
- 3/4 lb chicken breast
For orange
sauce:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp fresh ginger grated
- 1 tbsp So Nourished Erythritol
- 1 tsp coconut aminos optional
- 1 tsp orange extract
- 1 tbsp orange zest
Instructions
First, cut
the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with sea salt.
Then, in a
bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt. In a second bowl, mix the coconut
flour with the garlic powder and the black pepper.
Coat the
chicken pieces in the egg mixture, then the flour.
Heat the
olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook 2 to 3 minutes or
until golden, then flip over and cook another 2 to 3 minutes.
Make a
sauce: In a saucepan, mix all ingredients in the sauce and simmer over medium
heat for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Transfer the
chicken pieces to the dish, pour the orange sauce over the meat, sprinkle with
sesame seeds (optional) and serve. You can also mix the cooked chicken with the
orange sauce in the pan and stir for 1 minute then remove and serve.
