Christmas Crack Chex Mix
Christmas
Crack Chex Mix is a family favorite filled with Chex, cheerios, salted peanuts,
M & M's, pretzels and chocolate coated mix! Be careful because it's very
addictive and so good! Made for delicious homemade gifts!
Ingredients
- 2 cups Corn Chex
- 3 cups Wheat Chex
- 2-3 cups m&m’s
- 3 cups Rice Chex
- 1 cups Pretzel Sticks
- 3 cups Cheerios
- 24 oz White Chocolate plus an extra 4-8 oz if needed
Instructions
First, in a
large bowl, combine the Cheerios, Chex, Bretzels and m & m's.
Mix them up a
bit, making sure everything is evenly distributed.
Then, meanwhile,
in a double boiler, melt the white chocolate according to the instructions on
the packaging.
Once the
chocolate has melted and has a smooth consistency, sprinkle the chocolate over
the cereal mixture and mix with a wooden spoon or hands.
Make sure all the
cereals are covered with chocolate. If you need to melt the extra white
chocolate to cover all of the mixture, go for it!
Once the
entire batch has been combined, lay it out to dry on a large sheet of parchment
or waxed paper. Leave to dry for 1 hour so that the chocolate is cooled and
hard. Divide it into medium pieces and store in an airtight container in the
refrigerator or freezer.
