Old Fashioned Apple Crisp
This easy
apple recipe is prepared in the old-fashioned way, like the grandmother did,
and is perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a salted caramel sauce!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup buter melted
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 6 Granny Smith apples peeled and chopped
Instructions
First, Preheat
your oven to 350 ° F. Spray your 8x8 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray
and set aside.
Then, Peel
and chop your apples. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, 1 tablespoon flour
and the ground cinnamon. Add the apples and mix until they are completely
coated. Pour into an 8x8 baking dish.
In medium
bowl, combine brown sugar, fast-cooking oats, 1 cup flour, baking powder and
baking soda. Mix and pour the melted butter. Mix until everything is combined
evenly. Sprinkle on the top of the apple mixture to cover the top completely
and evenly.
Bake for 45
minutes or until walleye is golden and you can see it start to boil.
Serve hot
alone or with vanilla ice cream.
Happy
Cooking Time.
