Easy Tiramisu
Creamy
tiramisu recipe, delicious and incredibly easy to make based on coffee soaked
lady, sweet and creamy mascarpone and sprinkled cocoa powder.
Ingredients
- 6 large egg yolks
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 24 ounces mascarpone cheese
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 48 lady fingers crisp variety, not soft baked
- 3 cups strong coffee, cooled brew 3 cups of water to 6 tablespoons coffee
- 2 tablespoons coffee flavored liquor optional but recommended
Instructions
First, Make
a strong coffee and let it cool. Add some coffee liquor (if you use it).
Then, Separate
your egg yolks from the whites. (Save the egg whites for later use.)
Add the egg
yolks and powdered sugar to a large mixing bowl. Using a stand mixer or
electric hand mixer, beat until light and creamy. About 3 minutes.
Add the
mascarpone cheese to the egg mixture and beat for about 2 minutes, until the
mixture is light and frothy.
Dip the
lady's fingers in the cold coffee one by one. Dip quickly, not letting them
soak. Arrange half of the cookies in the bottom of a 9 x 13 dish.
Spread half
of the egg and marscapone mixture over the soaked woman's fingers. Add another
layer of soaked lady fingers and the rest of the cream mixture.
Sprinkle
unsweetened cocoa with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
Can be
refrigerated for up to 3 days.
