Cranberry Orange Cheese Ball
This ball of
orange chocolate chip cheese, cranberries is a dessert so easy to use and
perfect for the holidays. It's a great holiday recipe and it will be the first
thing to do.
Ingredients
- 1 cup craisins
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons orange zest
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 Tablespoon orange juice
COATING
- ½ cup craisins
- 1 Tablespoon orange zest
- 1 cup chopped candied pecans
Instructions
First, Stir
in softened cream cheese until smooth.
Then, Add
the craisines, orange zest, orange juice and powdered sugar until well blended.
Place the
bowl in the refrigerator and let it firm for about 10 minutes or just long
enough to form a ball.
Roll in a
cream cheese mixture into a ball and place on a plate or tray and place in the
freezer to soften for 10 minutes.
Although the
cheese ball is soft, mix the ingredients of the coating on a large platter or
large plate. Roll the cheese ball into the filling ingredients to coat the
outside.
Cover with
saran wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serve with
