GARLIC BUTTER STEAK
Steak with
garlic butter - juicy and tender steak cooked in a cast iron pan. Garnished
with garlic butter, this steak recipe is so easy and delicious!
Ingredients
- 4 (12-ounce) rib-eye steaks*, 1 1/4-inch-thick, at room temperature
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
FOR THE
GARLIC COMPOUND BUTTER
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon thyme, chopped
- 1 teaspoon basil, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
DIRECTIONS:
First, To
make garlic butter, mix butter, parsley, garlic, lemon peel, thyme, rosemary,
basil, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper in a medium bowl.
Transfer the mixture
to parchment paper; form in a newspaper. Roll in parchment paper 1 1/2 inches
in diameter, turning the ends to close. Refrigerate until use, up to 1 week. *
Then, Preheat
the oven to grill. Place a baking pan.
Using paper
towels, dry both sides of the steak. Sprinkle with olive oil;
Season with salt
and pepper to taste. Remove the pan from the oven and heat on medium-high.
Place the
steak in the center of the pan and cook until a dark crust has formed, about 1
minute. Using tongs, turn and cook for another 60 seconds.
Place the
pan in the oven and cook until desired cooking is reached, about 4-5 minutes
over medium-low heat, turning once. Let stand for 3-5 minutes.
Serve
immediately with garlic butter. Happy Cooking Time.
